Sharing a couple of short, old poems for the bank holiday. (Written 2013/2014). I rarely write poetry. Over the past six years, I have only written four poems total. I enjoy poetry, and admire those who can write good poems, but stories have always been my thing. These ones are quite nostalgic to me, having been written in my first lecture on the first day of my university degree.
Unheard My voice is a crack in the wall I am not seen at all I am a ghost that wanders invisible And peers through the gates of a graveyard My shout is as a leaf flutters on the wind Fleeting and brief As is my anger that hits a brick wall It bounces back and becomes nothing at all. Silent Musician I am a silent musician. I am a guitarist in a queue. I am a drummer in the library. I am a rapper on the bus. I am a choir in a church. I am a piano on a first date. I am a trombone in an argument. I am a harpist at a wedding. I am a violin at a funeral. And I am a triangle at home.
